Too Cute Tuesday – The Midwinter Fox Pendant by Mother Eagle:
I have long admired the beautiful, intricate work of the immensely talented Mother Eagle.
This portrait of a fox is simple exquisite.
She is a master. When she posts photos of her work along side her fingers, you just can’t believe how tiny and detailed it is.
Spend some time viewing her flickr stream and on her website and shop. You will be amazed and inspired by her lovely, moody images and faces. Everything from death cap mushrooms to eerily gorgeous skulls.

The Infinity of the Room by Pia Jensen
The Infinity of the Room by Pia Jensen:
The recent exhibition by Danish artist and weaver Pia Jensen entitled The Infinity of the Room transforms an entire room into a three-dimensional experience that centers around the hexagon.
Hexagonal patterns are made out of various materials like acrylic, tiles, and wood, and cover all of the walls and the floor, turning the space into a textural wonderland.
Her wish was that everyone who enters the room would see that out in the world, we are constantly surrounded by patterns that are created in all different ways, be it nature or man-made.

If you’re like me and love a good read, then you’ll find the selection of gems unearthed by Persephone Books a rare treat. Printing mostly “neglected fiction and non-fiction by women, for women, and about women,” this London publisher uses vintage patterns for the end papers matching the spirit and time period of each title. Treat yourself by subscribing to the book-a-month club or pick up a few titles to hand out as gifts since the holiday season is right around the corner.

I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up this week than with these dream-like beauties from ANONA studio. I love that they brought the geometric trend to a customer that may not normally be drawn to harsh geometrics by using vibrant colors and soft textures. ANONA, which was founded in 2011 by Sarah Leaman and Renée Shortell, calls themselves a “boutique” studio because they cater to each client in a very personal way. “In addition to offering a curated collection of original prints and vintage items specific to the needs of each brand, we will find that perfect vintage piece on request, and also create original artwork for clients that need just the right piece to round out their season.” To find out more about ANONA please visit their website.
